Work with the local newspaper to feature a front page story on your CTE program, or your CTSO's
CTE students to create gifts to Board members and present at board meeting:
Culinary students create cookie mixes
Woods students create clocks
Business students create new designs for a local organization
Automotive students provide a certificate for an oil change
Contact your local cable station or TV production class to produce a 30-minute talk show on CTE topics: interview CTE teachers, CTE students, CTE advisory members
Post National CTE month on your website in February in support of CTE
School sites and districts can post the CTE PSA videos to their website for the month of February: www.acteonline.org/ctemonth.aspx
Prepare a PA announcement regarding CTE month
Have a student organization contact a radio station for a PSA
Display student project work samples from student organizations in the main office
Send out the "Facts about Career and Technical Education Sheet" available at www.acteonline.org/
Produce an online CTE newsletter that goes out in February highlighting CTE programs and pathways. Article ideas: students using 21st century skills, CTE student organizations, highlight teachers or students
